Silvi Ad 🛌
Do you like this ad 🤔? |
TLDR:
This is a fun and enticing ad to run for your brand. It gets a lot of stuff right. What to focus on here is:
Information overload will cost you in clicks to your website.
Colors that don’t have enough contrast don’t differentiate enough.
No CTA makes the velocity of decision-making slower.
There’s more to dive into but if you want to ✌️ we understand…
What’s working ❤️🔥
Clear Value Proposition: The ad communicates a specific benefit: "The viral pillowcase that reduces 99.7% of bacteria". This is a quantifiable claim that addresses a common consumer concern regarding hygiene.
Such precise figures can boost credibility and make the product stand out in a saturated market.
Comparative Imagery: The side-by-side comparison of a cotton pillowcase versus the Silvi pillowcase uses visual differentiation effectively.
The audience can quickly perceive the purported advantages of Silvi over traditional options. This method consistently helps in decision-making, as it plays on the psychological inclination to compare choices.
Social Proof: The "As seen on TikTok" badge taps into the influential power of popular platforms and suggests that the product is trending.
For a platform with a highly engaged community like TikTok, this can signal that the product is vetted and popular among users, which can significantly influence purchase decisions.
This has become less effective as TikTok has lost it’s novelty impact - however, a build here is sold out 3x on TikTok.
What could be better 🔨
Visual Clarity: The text in the lower left corner is small and the color blends with the background, reducing readability. If a viewer struggles to read the ad's text, the message may will lost, reducing the ad's effectiveness.
The fonts and background colors should create a stark contrast to make the text pop and ensure that the messaging is instantly legible.
Right now the colors are too similar for it to read differently. Use the 3-second website test for a website but enhance it for an ad to 1 second.
Information Overload: There is a lot of text information at the bottom of the ad. While informative, it's important to balance educating the consumer and keeping the ad visually digestible.
Too much text can deter engagement, as viewers may not take the time to read through densely packed information.
Always consider how long your customer will take to move one click closer to your Thank you page.
Call to Action: The ad does not have an obvious call to action (CTA). Without a CTA, even interested consumers may not feel compelled to take the next step.
An example: Get Your Viral Pillowcase (yes, I know how that sounds)
What to do📈
Simplify Text: Streamline the text to focus on the most important messages. For instance, instead of listing all the negatives of cotton, focus on the most impactful benefit of Silvi. This makes the ad's message more memorable.
Enhance Readability: Improve text contrast by choosing a font color that stands out against the background. Additionally, increasing the font size for key messages could further enhance clarity and immediate impact.
Add a Clear Call to Action: Implement a direct CTA such as "Shop Now" or "Discover the Silvi Difference". This should be visually distinct and placed in a strategic location on the ad, prompting the viewer to take immediate action.
Some fun with AI 🤖 after we put our suggestions in and asked for a new ad to be created!
