Hey everyone, Chase from CreativeOS here.
We've covered Mars Men before in Creative Discipline. Their taped-paper ad is one of the best direct response pieces I've seen in men's health.
Today's ad is a completely different creative execution from the same brand. Same product, different strategy. And it's worth breaking down because it shows how one brand can run two completely different hook angles against the same audience.
Here's what this one is doing.
The Ad

Ad created in CreativeOS
Brand: Mars Men
Format: Static, Infinite Product Array
Headline: Your Edge Is Still In There
Clone this inside CreativeOS.
The infinite product array format works for any brand with strong packaging. It's particularly effective for subscription products because the repetition implies ongoing supply and ongoing demand simultaneously.
Search for the inspiration inside CreativeOS and clone the format for your own product.
What the Creative Genome sees.
🎯 Hook Angle: Aspirational Identity Callout via Dormant Self
💡 Primary Emotion: Longing + Permission
⚙️ Persuasion Mechanism: Abundance Signaling + Identity Restoration
👁 Why it stops the scroll: Dozens of identical black cylinders receding into the distance. It reads as scale, certainty, and permanence before a single word is processed.
The breakdown.
The headline is doing something precise.
"Your Edge Is Still In There" is not a claim about testosterone. It's not about energy or performance. It's a belief statement about the customer's identity. The edge didn't leave. It's still there. This product finds it.
Compare that to most men's health copy which leads with what you've lost. "Feeling tired?" "Low drive?" "Not performing like you used to?" That framing positions the customer as already diminished.
"Your Edge Is Still In There" positions the customer as someone who hasn't changed. The edge is dormant, not gone. That's a completely different emotional entry point. Not loss. Not decline. Retrieval.
It's the Aspirational Identity Callout but pointed backwards. Nike says "just do it" to someone becoming a better version of themselves. Mars Men says "it's still there" to someone who wants to return to the version of themselves they already were. Same hook angle, different temporal direction. Equally powerful for different reasons.
The visual is the other half of the story.
Dozens of Mars Men Boost cylinders arranged in a receding grid. No lifestyle photography. No athlete. No before and after. Just the product, multiplied until it fills the frame and disappears into the background.
This is Abundance Signaling. The product isn't presented as something you might try. It's presented as something that already exists at scale, for a lot of people, as a given. The visual communicates demand without stating it. You don't see one bottle hoping to be noticed. You see an inventory of something people are clearly buying.
The CTA placement is worth noting too. "Claim Your Offer" lands before the product image, not after. Most ads end with the CTA. This one puts it second, right after the headline, before the visual makes its argument. The reader hits the offer while the hook is still fresh.
"Try Mars Men risk-free for 90 days." That's the close underneath the CTA. 90 days is a generous guarantee for a supplement. Long enough to see results. Generous enough to remove the purchase risk entirely.

What could be stronger.
The ingredient list on the bottle is visible but not readable at mobile size. If these are the ingredients that make the product credible, they deserve their own line of copy above the fold.
"Tongkat Ali, Shilajit, Cistanche" are names that signal quality to the right buyer. Right now they're doing that work silently.
Surfacing one or two in the ad copy would sharpen the proof layer without changing anything else.
